How it works

This is the process followed to produce your interview:

Preparation

After making a booking, I’ll look forward to telephoning you for our pre-interview conversation. This is where I'll learn about your life and the moments you’d most like to focus on. Based on your preferences, I’ll prepare personalised questions to ask during our interview session, to help guide the conversation.

As part of preparation, you'll also receive some thought-provoking questions, to allow you time for some reflection beforehand.

We come to you. The interview itself can be held in the comfort of your home, or at another mutually agreed location.

The interview

One-on-one interviews create a safe space for sharing your experiences in a relaxing environment.

The style will be easy, warm and conversational, conducted in a question and answer format. Any mistakes can of course be edited later.

Duration: Up to 75 minutes (you might be surprised how much information can be included in this time).

As an experienced interviewer, I’ll support you to preserve the stories and milestones in your life. The relaxed conversation will help to bring out your personality, and add colour and warmth for those listening. There might also be a message or advice that you'd like to say for loved ones.

What you will receive

AUDIO

Your interview will be professionally edited and mixed into a quality audio recording.

Presented on USB in a beautiful linen keepsake box, together with your chosen photograph (sample image below).
A private download link will be emailed, to allow you to share the recording with family members.

VIDEO OPTION

In addition to the items listed above:

The interview is filmed in a documentary style using a single camera and lighting.
Up to 30 personal photographs will be incorporated into the video.

About Us

Cathie Agg

Cathie is an experienced interviewer, audio producer, radio announcer and podcaster.

She brings an easy, personable and engaging style to the conversation. Her work is focused on communication through storytelling - helping people share their experiences, while retaining their essence and character.

Cathie began this service after friends said they wish they'd recorded their parents' stories and voices. She feels the same about her own parents who are no longer with us, and sees the timeless value in catching our loved ones' personalities and life experiences.

As part of a separate initiative, Cathie also hosts a podcast called 'Love Your Work', where she interviews people from all walks of life and discovers what drives them to do the work they do. Listen to podcast sample.
